Association Fees for Membership Associations
Association fees are seasonal charges for a participant that your membership association sets for its member clubs, such as a national or provincial membership fee or the Curling Development Fee (CDF). Your member clubs inherit the fees you provide and add them to their products. A participant pays each fee once per season, even if they register with several clubs.
This page is for membership associations. If you manage a club, see association fees.
Review your fees
Go to Products > Association Fees. The page lists the fees you own, and any fees inherited from an association above you under Inherited association fees. Each row shows the age limits, price, tax, and how many times the fee has been purchased this season. Fees from other associations are marked View only.
Change a fee's price or age limits
Select the name of one of your fees. The page shows the fee's name, whether it requires a participant, how often it is charged, its taxes, and its status. You can change only Price, Min Age, and Max Age.
Leave an age blank for no limit. Ages are inclusive, so a minimum age of 18
includes participants who are 18.
Select Save. Because a change affects every member club that uses the fee, Curling IO asks you to confirm the new price and age limits first. Select Confirm to apply them.
Contact support if you need a new fee, or to change anything else about an existing one. This page can't create fees or change their taxes.
Choose how curlers pay or report the fee
The Curling Development Fees section at the bottom of the page sets how curlers can pay or report the fee through your organization. Select Save after you change it.
- Direct Curling Development Fee purchases adds a dedicated fee page that you can send to your member clubs. A curler signs in, selects or creates a profile, and pays any missing fee without registering for a competition. The page address appears in the hint under the checkbox.
- Accept user claims for a Curling Development Fee paid elsewhere through the fee page lets a curler report that they paid the fee through a member club. Reports made on your page come to you. See Curling Development Fee claims.
- Allow member clubs to accept user claims for Curling Development Fees lets your member clubs turn on the same option for their own curlers. A club can accept reports only while this is checked. Unchecking it makes the reports clubs have already accepted stop counting in their carts. It does not delete them.
A paid fee and an accepted report each satisfy a fee for that participant and season. A rejected report does not.
If you also use team joining, Settings > General has a separate Accept user claims for a Curling Development Fee paid elsewhere when joining a team option that applies only to players who join your own team events.
Review reported payments
The Curling Development Fee claims report shows the payments curlers have reported through you and your member clubs. You can also record a payment you have verified yourself, or reject a report that should not count. See Curling Development Fee claims.
Troubleshooting
A member club cannot turn on payment reporting
The club's checkbox works only while Allow member clubs to accept user claims for Curling Development Fees is checked on your page. The hint under the club's own checkbox names your association when this is the reason.
The claims report is missing from the Reports menu
The report appears after you turn on Accept user claims for a Curling Development Fee paid elsewhere through the fee page, or when any claim exists through you or a member club. Claims recorded by organizations also keep the report visible.
