Premium

Premium provides access to optional Curling IO features. Your organization can use the core registration and website features without Premium.

Check your Premium status​

Go to Settings > Premium in the administration area. The page shows whether Premium is active and which access method is providing it.

Premium is active when your organization qualifies through at least one of these methods:

  • Membership association: Provincial, territorial, and national membership associations receive Premium access.
  • Online payments: Premium is included when online payments are enabled and a payment processor is fully configured. See Payments.
  • Annual purchase: Eligible Canadian-dollar organizations can purchase Premium for one year. The page shows whether a purchase or renewal is available.

If more than one method applies, losing one does not affect Premium while another remains active.

Premium features​

Premium is currently required for:

  • Page and article attachments
  • Page and article galleries
  • Sponsors
  • Public notices
  • Accounting Reports
  • Mailchimp integration
  • Club draw schedule templates and CSV schedule imports
  • Rental products
  • Product waitlists
  • Webhooks
  • Page actions for your own agent, their context and setup instructions
  • Participant final-score entry, end-by-end scoring, last stone draw, and shot-by-shot scoring

Payment plans require online payments through SportsPay, or Stripe after Curling IO enables plans for your club. Configured online payments already include Premium; buying Premium separately does not make payment plans available.

Email broadcasts are available with Premium or an available Platform Credit balance. Sending still requires enough credits for the recipients.

Premium features remain visible in the administration area when Premium is not active. The relevant page explains that Premium is required and links back to Settings > Premium.

Page actions for your own agent, their context and setup instructions are included with Premium. You must also accept the agent-access agreement. Your agent can still use the page through browser control without Premium. Curling IO's built-in AI Assistant uses Platform Credits and does not require Premium.

If Premium access ends​

Curling IO keeps your saved Premium data. It does not disable records, delete configuration, or require you to recreate anything when Premium returns.

While Premium is not active:

  • Page and article attachments and galleries are not shown publicly. Existing entries remain available in the administration area, but new uploads are blocked.
  • Sponsors and public notices remain stored but are not shown publicly. You can view the existing records, but you cannot create or edit them.
  • Email Broadcast history remains available. Without Premium, you can create or clone a broadcast when you have available Platform Credits. Sending requires enough credits for the recipients. A broadcast already queued continues sending.
  • Accounting Reports and exports are unavailable.
  • Rental products and availability remain visible to administrators but are not shown publicly and cannot accept new rentals.
  • Product waitlist configuration and entries remain saved, but customers cannot join a new waitlist.
  • Webhook configuration and recent Delivery history remain visible, but the controls are read-only and new product milestones are not queued. Deliveries already queued while Premium was active may finish their bounded retries.
  • Native page actions for your own agent return to the access-request tool. Your agreement is kept, so page actions return when Premium does. Your agent can continue using browser control.
  • Existing game scores, ends, shots, and product Results settings remain stored. Premium scoring entry is unavailable until access returns.

Regaining Premium makes the stored configuration active again automatically.

Pending rental items are the only data removed after Premium access ends. They are removed from unfinished carts so a new rental cannot be completed without Premium. Submitted, paid, completed, refunded, and other order history is preserved.
