Pages

Pages are long-lived content for your public website. Use them for information such as club rules, facility details, policies, contact information, or a member handbook. Published public pages appear under The Club in the position you set. Use an article instead for dated news and updates.

To add sections above or below a page's content, use Studio. Pages you create here do not replace sign-in, cart, or checkout workflows. Those workflows follow your club's theme and accept no Studio sections.

Walkthrough video

The following video shows you how to create and publish a page, use the Markdown editor, add supporting files, control member access, require a specific purchase, and set its public navigation position.

Pages Section

Go to Website > Pages to create and manage pages.

Pages administration screen with existing Pages, drag handles, publication status, and the New page button.

The list shows each page's title, position, and publication status. For a public page, the position number controls its order under The Club on your website. Use the grip handle to drag and drop pages into a different order.

Create a page

  1. Select New page.
  2. Enter the Title.
  3. Select a Sponsor only when the page should display an associated sponsor.
  4. Leave Published selected when the page should be available on the public website.
  5. Add an optional page image.
  6. Select Body to write the page content.

Uncheck Published to hide the page without deleting it. Visitors cannot open an unpublished page.

To make a published page your website's home page, choose it under Source > landing.json > Homepage in Website Studio, then save and publish the change.

Write the page content

Select Body to open the Markdown editor in a popup. Write and preview the content there, then select Apply to return it to the page form.

Markdown editor popup with the Member Handbook content and preview controls.

The toolbar can add bold and italic text, headings, bulleted and numbered lists, links, inline images, and horizontal rules. These controls insert Markdown for you. You can also type Markdown directly when that is faster.

Use the view controls on the right side of the toolbar to change how you work:

  • Toggle Preview shows the formatted result.
  • Toggle Side by Side keeps the Markdown and formatted preview visible together.
  • Toggle Fullscreen gives you more room for a longer page. Select it again to return to the popup.

Select Apply when the body looks right. Apply returns the Markdown to the page form, but it does not save the page. Your changes are saved when you select Save on the page form.

Use headings to divide longer pages into sections. Keep the page title out of the body because it is already displayed above the content.

Add a page image

The page image appears with the page content and does not require Premium.

Use a 2:1 image, such as 1600 by 800 pixels. This shape fits the current public page layout without relying on a crop and stays sharp on high-density displays. Choose a JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP file.

Recommended 1600 by 800 pixel Page image showing curling stones and brooms on the ice.

After choosing the file, confirm its filename before saving. The processed image appears with the page content on the public website. A useful image should support the page without repeating its title as embedded text.

Visitors can select the main image to open a larger version. If the page also has gallery images, selecting the enlarged image moves through them and wraps from the last image back to the first. With only the main image, selecting the enlarged image again closes it.

Premium

Adding or publishing a page gallery requires Premium. Learn about Premium access.

The gallery is separate from the main page image. Gallery images appear after the page body in a responsive layout. Selecting an image zooms it in, and visitors can page through the gallery.

Gallery section with two curling club images, captions, position numbers, drag handles, and remove buttons.

  1. Select Add image.
  2. Choose one JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
  3. Add an optional caption.
  4. Repeat for each image you need.
  5. Drag and drop rows into the order they should appear.

A page can contain up to 10 gallery images. Each source image can be up to 25 MB. Curling IO preserves its aspect ratio, removes unnecessary metadata, does not enlarge a smaller image, and limits the saved image to 1536 pixels on its longest edge.

Gallery ordering is saved with the page. Removing a row takes it out of the editor immediately, but the saved gallery does not change until you save the page.

Add attachments

Premium

Adding or publishing page attachments requires Premium. Learn about Premium access.

Use attachments for supporting files that visitors should download, such as a policy, agenda, minutes, member handbook, or printable form.

Attachments section with Safety and Conduct PDF files, link names, position numbers, drag handles, and remove buttons.

  1. Select Add attachment.
  2. Choose one PDF, image, or DOCX file.
  3. Enter optional link text. Use a short name that tells the visitor what they will download.
  4. Repeat for each file you need.
  5. Drag and drop rows into the order they should appear.

A page can contain up to five attachments. Each file can be up to 10 MB. Each row accepts one file so its link text and position stay attached to the right download.

Attachment ordering is saved with the page. Removing a row takes it out of the editor immediately, but saved files are not deleted until you save the page.

Control who can see the page

Leave Members only unchecked when anyone should be able to view the page.

A member is an account holder whose account has a participant registered for a product during the current season. When Members only is selected, only members can view the page content. Someone without access can still open its URL, but Curling IO shows a Members only message instead of the page.

Page visibility controls with Members only and a Club Membership required purchase.

Use Required purchases when access should depend on a specific purchase:

  1. Select Add required purchase.
  2. Choose the product the visitor must have purchased.
  3. Repeat when another product should also grant access.

The qualifying purchase must belong to the account holder or one of their participants during the current season. If you add more than one product, purchasing any one of them grants access.

The same access checks protect the page body, gallery images, and attachment downloads. Sharing a direct image or download link does not bypass the page restrictions.

Save the page

Select Save after checking the content, media, downloads, and visibility settings. Curling returns you to the Pages list and shows a Success alert.

You can select the page title from the list to edit it later. Deleting a page removes it from your public website along with its associated gallery and attachments.

Reordering pages

Return to Website > Pages to change public navigation order.

Page rows with grip handles and position numbers used for reordering.

Grab the dotted handle beside a page and drag it to where you want it.

The new order saves automatically. You do not need to open or save each page after reordering the list. Published pages use the same order under The Club on your public website.

What visitors see

Visitors select The Club on your public website to open a published public page. The menu lists unrestricted pages in the position order from Website > Pages. Members-only pages and pages with required purchases stay out of this menu, so share their direct links with the intended account holders.

On larger screens, the opening body wraps beside the main image. Gallery images appear after the body, followed by any attachment links.

These screenshots show the default website template and theme. Another template or theme may change the typography, spacing, colours, and image placement. The page content, position order, visibility rules, gallery, and attachments still work the same way.

Unpublished pages do not appear under The Club and cannot be opened on the public website.

Troubleshooting

If the page does not save, check that each selected upload uses an accepted file type and size.

After saving, the main page image or a gallery image may briefly show as processing. Refresh the page after a moment. A processing error is shown in the editor when Curling IO cannot prepare an image. If the page form reports another error, select the gallery file again before saving because browsers cannot restore a file selection.

If a visitor cannot open the page, check Published, Members only, and every entry under Required purchases. When more than one access rule is configured, the visitor must satisfy all of them.

If a page does not appear as the public home page, check the Homepage selection in Studio and publish your saved changes.
